A major renovation and restoration programme of the main College building has taken place at the Pontifical Irish College during recent years. An important part of this programme was the restoration of the College façade. Her Excellency President Mary McAleese inaugurated the restored façade on Saturday 2 June 2007. The celebrations also included an academic conference on the foundation of the college including papers delivered by Revd Thomas O’Connor, National University of Ireland Maynooth and Monsignor Charles Burns, Rome on the College founders.
