The 19th century rectors’ correspondence at the Pontifical Irish College archives has been digitised, benefitting from generous funding from the Department of Arts, Sports and Tourism, and the Dublin Archdiocese. The 25,000 documents were fully available online until 2012, and it is hoped to bring them back online in the future.

Two aims: To safe-guard the documents by creating surrogate copies and reducing handling & To make the documents more widely accessible via the internet.
Scanning, web application and hosting of the site by- Centro di Fotoriproduzione Legatoria e Restauro degli Archivi di Stato, a subsidiary of the Italian State Archives.
